Today was our community funday, so yesterday our kitchen became a cupcake factory and we made 39 cupcakes to be sold on our church’s cake stall. They sold well, as did other cakes on the stall and after an hour it became clear that we did not have enough. So I ran home (not very far at all) and started baking again. A lemon drizzle traybake, some gingerbread men and then some fruit scones. In all we reckon I made 87 cakes! I only have photos of the cupcakes, there wasn’t time to even think about taking photos of the others. They were each whizzed up to the stall still hot from the oven.

They may CALL them ‘fun’ days, but there is still an awful lot of hard work involved! Thanks for the comment on my blog re chairs- I am sure you will manage to do yours. Measure VERY generously though and allow a good amount of overlap, and make your first 4 staples centres of front, back then 2 sides.
My fabric came from a store called The Range – your nearest branch is Enfield I think!
